MedTour
is a product offered by SES for Access to our local internal
evacuation services.
This product is designed to provide Tour
operators / organizations, businesses and individuals cover for
their clients who already hold a Medical Insurance or Medical Aid
cover outside of Zambia access to facilities and services on the
ground in Zambia.
MedTour will cover Aero-medical evacuation costs
from the point of your incident to Lusaka / Copperbelt, Paramedic,
emergency medications and local ALS ambulance to the local medical
or holding facility.
For those who require onward Aero-medical
evacuation and have the required cover we will monitor until such
time as the onward evacuation can be effected.

Our
Operations Control Centre, based in Lusaka (Specialty Emergency
Services), has Emergency and Critical Care Life Support equipment,
Critical Care Ambulances, Paramedics, ICU Sisters, dedicated
telephone lines, fax lines, e-mail, satellite phones, VHF and HF
radios and is manned 24 hours per day.
The Operations Control Centre
is supported fully by our Kitwe Base, our Johannesburg office, our
correspondent offices regionally and worldwide. Our services
include:
Guaranteed admissions to hospital
For
only US$ 1.00 per person per bednight ( $2.50 per person per
bednight if on hunting safari) , payable annually, together with a
current Guarantee of Payment you, your client or your staff can
enjoy the full benefits of all services at a moment notice.
For
response and hospitalisation to be efficient it is necessary that a
guarantee of payment be lodged with our office. This will save
life-threatening minutes should an emergency arise.
Authorization to
proceed can thus be either by prior approval from your appointed
contact persons or at SES’s discretion in accordance with the
organization requirements. Under this agreement all expenses arising
from an emergency or any other services that are not covered by this
agreement will be charged to the Guarantor.
All invoices will be
deemed due thirty (30) days from presentation and will be payable in
foreign exchange for any services outside Zambia’s borders. Local
invoices will be charged in forex but can be paid in Kwacha, at the
ruling rate of exchange of the day.
Each person must complete a MedTour Medical Record Card to enable us
to have access to medical information and passport details
immediately for speedy evacuation procedures. Non-declaration of
details of any client in advance, will result in that client not
being covered.
We
would also require a list of senior personnel authorized to either
sign or give verbal approval of any steps we deem necessary to
ensure the well being of persons covered by this agreement.
We assure you of our commitment and standards of service at all
times 24 hours a day wherever you might be, in the air or on the
ground.
SES reserves the right to change the rates at any
time with fair warning to our clients.
