MED TOUR

MedTour is a product offered by SES for Access to our local internal evacuation services.

This product is designed to provide Tour operators / organizations, businesses and individuals cover for their clients who already hold a Medical Insurance or Medical Aid cover outside of Zambia access to facilities and services on the ground in Zambia.

MedTour will cover Aero-medical evacuation costs from the point of your incident to Lusaka / Copperbelt, Paramedic, emergency medications and local ALS ambulance to the local medical or holding facility.

For those who require onward Aero-medical evacuation and have the required cover we will monitor until such time as the onward evacuation can be effected.

Our Operations Control Centre, based in Lusaka (Specialty Emergency Services), has Emergency and Critical Care Life Support equipment, Critical Care Ambulances, Paramedics, ICU Sisters, dedicated telephone lines, fax lines, e-mail, satellite phones, VHF and HF radios and is manned 24 hours per day.

The Operations Control Centre is supported fully by our Kitwe Base, our Johannesburg office, our correspondent offices regionally and worldwide. Our services include:

  •  Emergency Evacuation and case monitoring both local and in South Africa

Guaranteed admissions to hospital

For only US$ 1.00 per person per bednight ( $2.50 per person per bednight if on hunting safari) , payable annually, together with a current Guarantee of Payment you, your client or your staff can enjoy the full benefits of all services at a moment notice.

For response and hospitalisation to be efficient it is necessary that a guarantee of payment be lodged with our office. This will save life-threatening minutes should an emergency arise.

Authorization to proceed can thus be either by prior approval from your appointed contact persons or at SES’s discretion in accordance with the organization requirements. Under this agreement all expenses arising from an emergency or any other services that are not covered by this agreement will be charged to the Guarantor.

All invoices will be deemed due thirty (30) days from presentation and will be payable in foreign exchange for any services outside Zambia’s borders. Local invoices will be charged in forex but can be paid in Kwacha, at the ruling rate of exchange of the day.

Each person must complete a MedTour Medical Record Card to enable us to have access to medical information and passport details immediately for speedy evacuation procedures.  Non-declaration of details of any client in advance, will result in that client not being covered.

We would also require a list of senior personnel authorized to either sign or give verbal approval of any steps we deem necessary to ensure the well being of persons covered by this agreement.

We assure you of our commitment and standards of service at all times 24 hours a day wherever you might be, in the air or on the ground.

SES reserves the right to change the rates at any time with fair warning to our clients.
